The continent’s digital agriculture industry is growing. The number of farmers subscribed to digital services has grown by between 40% and 45% per year in the last three years. Smallholder farmers, most of whom have access to less than two acres of land, produce more than 80% of the food in sub-Saharan Africa.
The Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) region accounts for more than 950 million people,
approximately 13% of the global population. By 2050, this share is projected to increase to almost 22% or 2.1 billion.
Our solutions across all tiers of the agricultural value chain will potentially address not only hunger and malnutrition but also other challenges including poverty; water and energy use; climate change and unsustainable production and consumption, all these are identified focal areas of the SDGs
